Coconut palms are called the 'tree of life' in southern India where they provide shelter and soil structure in coastal areas. The coconuts themselves are a source of food, drink and oil but in this case it is their fibres that have been woven into this hardwearing doormat. This feminine design of flowers, hearts and circles was made on a fair trade basis.
